“Our purpose is to seek hope, peace and harmony in the world; to promote interfaith dialogue and reconciliation; to maximize charitable contributions locally and globally; to create sustainable development for suffering communities; to save children from oppression and protect their rights to education and health care; to empower youth and women; to increase awareness of health concerns including HIV/AIDS; to end the violation of human rights; to eliminate poverty; to confront climate and environmental issues and thereby work towards a healthy, sustainable planet.”
A Better Community for All Pakistan (ABC4ALL) was launched on Global Love Day in 2008. As a Cooperation Circle, they have organized community meetings to inform women and children in their community about URI’s Preamble, Purpose and Principles. They also meet with other faith communities for dialogue and to celebrate worldwide events like International Day of Peace and World Interfaith Harmony Week. Their participation in World Interfaith Harmony Week 2013 was particularly successful. To celebrate this occasion, Muslim and Christian school children and teachers came together to eat, pray, and share songs and poems about harmony, love, and peace.
